Conversion and Refresher Course
Information
To referee in Alberta, you must be at least 12 years of age and are required to complete the Junior (Mini) Referee Course. Anyone 14 years of age is required to complete the Entry Level Referee Course.
Your credentials must be renewed each year, to do this, you must pass the entry exam and register for a Refresher Course. Once you have become a certified referee, you will be registered as an active member in the Alberta Soccer Association website database.
Refresher Courses
To register for a Refresher Course, you will need to register for the season and pass the Outdoor questionnaire. You must complete all components to appear on the Eligible List of Outdoor Officials.
