Our spotlight member of the month is Calgary Villains U9 Coach Marcial Russo. Coach Russo has been nominated by parents of a player for being “a fantastic mentor for these boys.”

“Not only is he a knowledgeable coach, having played in his youth in Chile, but perhaps more importantly, he is inclusive and thoughtful in his approach with the kids. He is fair and tries to bring out the best in each player. He has created a cohesive and cooperative group of players in a fun and playful environment. The team came in first in a Calgary tournament where he included all players and helped the team to think about good sportsmanship and respect for the Referees.”
