Recently, the Alberta Soccer Association announced a new partnership with Cavalry FC to advance soccer development within Alberta. 

“This partnership will benefit both players and coaches through development programs for either, in addition to creating a consistent pathway for players to reach the professional level” according to the Alberta Soccer Association.

"Having pathways and opportunities open for Calgary players is very important to CMSA, and we are excited to watch this new partnership have a positive impact on players in Calgary" said Jordan Stewart, CMSA Technical Leader on the new Cavalry FC/ASA partnership. "Local, professional opportunities are important to get players first-team minutes and showcase themselves and follow along in the steps of Goteh Ntignee, Victor Loturi, and Aribim Pepple. Giving our top young players the opportunity to test themselves against their peers in a professional environment will hopefully see more local players breaking through and continuing to raise the profile of soccer in Calgary, and Calgary soccer nationally and globally."

"The program will launch across Alberta, in both Calgary and Edmonton, where Cavalry FC will work together with youth clubs and their Technical or Academy Directors within Alberta to identify and support the development of players of high potential in our province. This fully funded programme will consist of on-field delivery, athletic development, video analysis and 11v11 game opportunities" as stated by the Alberta Soccer Association.
